Since they did not live in the same time period, we are safe to assume that there were not any dinosaurs that ate toucans. What is more interesting is that there is a lot of evidence that leads us to believe that birds have evolved from dinosaurs, or are very closely related to them. | |

| Asked... Question: how do igloos keep eskimos warm? Answer: The secret to warmth in an igloo is the fact that snow and ice are very good insulators. I have heard that, between body heat and one or two oil lamps, people can keep a relatively comfortable temperature (say, 10-15o C) inside. Apparently what happens is that the inside layer does melt, but turns to ice because of the contact with the snow next to it -- so you get good insulation both inside and out. Although snow leopards are certainly faster than you or I, they are probably not as fast as some other big cats. The snow leopard's front legs are relatively short in relation to the rest of their body. Long back legs give the snow leopard great jumping ability. This helps the snow leopard move about in their rugged habitat. This rugged habitat also makes it difficult to run fast for long distances. We are unaware of any studies that have measured snow leopard speed. Dr.Tom McCarthy, ISLT's Conservation Director, tells this story,
"I had a snow leopard charge past me once at about 6 inches. I know
